Parents want the best for their children in all areas of life, and we believe the church is meant to be a place where children can learn and grow in their faith. This is why we make the children's education program a top priority for our church.
In the children’s ministry at West Bloomfield UMC, kids not only hear about God's love — they experience it. Because different children learn in different ways, we use music, story-telling, art, drama, games, and videos to teach Bible truths in a way that children will understand and remember. The result is a place of wonder and discovery where children learn for themselves how God loves them and cares for them.
During the worship hour, pre-schoolers and elementary children begin in the worship service at 10:30 AM to sing praises to God, and then at about 10:40 preschool kids are invited to go to “Sprout” where they will learn about God in an age-appropriate environment. Elementary kids head to G3 Kids where they gather in fun and fellowship, grow in their faith, and go to live it out during the week. For youth, we seek to make worship an engaging and inspiring experience where they will benefit from remaining with the congregation during the worship hour.
During worship, nursery care is available every Sunday for infants and toddlers or they may stay with parents. The goal of the nursery is to enable you to worship God fully while your child receives nurture and care in a safe and comfortable environment. It is available from 10:20 until 11:45 every Sunday morning.
